Louis Vuitton x Koons. Second Edition of Masters

On October 12, 2017 Louis Vuitton revealed its second collaboration with the known contemporary artist Jeff Koons. Following the success of the first edition of the Masters collection launched in April 2017, the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Jeff Koons continues wth the new Masters.

This time the famous works of Monet, Turner, Manet, Gauguin and Boucher captured the attention of the artist and have been replicated onto the canvas of our beloved bags. Next to the bags and purses, the collection also includes scarves and bag charms inspired by the iconic rabbit, often used by Jeff Koons in his work. Like in the previous edition, this collection also has the names of the artists emblazoned across them. The new collection will hit the stores on 27 of October.
While we all are looking forward to admiring the collection in real life, let’s have a look on what to expect.

Top or Flop? Hudson’s Bay in The Netherlands

In the beginning of September the Canadian well-known warehouse Hudsons’ Bay has opened it’s first stores in The Netherlands.

Since the day Hudson’s Bay had announced its intention to open a chain of warehouses in the Netherlands I was really looking forward to these new stores. In my mind I drew a picture of a “shopping heaven”. Something fresh, innovative, fun… something that we have not had before.

Artuyt: When Fashion Meets Art

A fun, colorful scarf is undoubtedly one of the most important accessories in everyone’s wardrobe. It’s a great way to dress up a simple outfit and give an extra touch to any style. Sometimes, however, scarves are not only a beautiful fashion attribute. When combined with art, a simple scarf transforms into a special way of communication with the world. Feelings, culture, values and even history can be traced in prints and colors of the scarves.

Last week in Yerevan (Armenia) I had a very interesting talk with the founder of “Artuyt”, Arevik Arakelyan. Founded in 2016, “Artuyt” aims to promote the exquisite artworks of Armenian contemporary artists within the country and beyond. Colorful scarves produced by “Artuyt” are the exact replicas of their artworks. Each scarf is a unique masterpiece that guides the wearer into a magical world of Armenian art.

Ik hou persoonlijk van deze trend.Het enige probleem dat ik zie met de roze kleur is dat het of heel chic of heel goedkoop kan staan. Continue Reading
