Last Thursday The Hague was celebrating the opening of a new shopping area in the heart of the city center. DJ’s, musicians, street performers and passionate shoppers got together for the opening of long-awaited “De Passage”.
I was double happy about the news. First of all it’s a new shopping area. Secondly pedestrians finally can have a nice walk along the shopping street, without having to squeeze in between cyclists and the construction walls.
ICI Paris, Douglas, Sacha, The Sting and other well known stores opened their doors in new location. Paprika and sportswear by Lorna Jane are newbies for The Hague shopping area. Another new store –Pandora– is coming soon.
Good news for all Mango fans! De Passage branch of the store widened the selection of clothes and accessories. The store includes sportswear for women and children’s clothing section.
For denim lovers Wam Denim and Kult offer rich assortment in various price range.
Last but not least, you don’t need to go to the Station for your favorite cup of Starbucks coffee. You can enjoy it now in De Passage.
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed not to see many new brands in De Passage. I was hoping the new shopping area would have widened the choice of the customers, offering brands other than already presented in The Hague. It would have been nice to have, for example Naf-Naf, Victoria’s Secret or other well-known brands represented.
